What is it?
The European projects Innoguide and Innoguide 2.0 have developed and are further developing an online platform for guides, guide trainers and guide organisations. The overall ambitions of Innoguide are two-fold:
- to stimulate entrepreneurship among guides and guide trainers
- to stimulate and develop the entrepreneurial qualities of guide organisations
In today’s society the world of guiding is evolving and challenges in terms of dealing with intercultural encounters and creating a sustainable and lively tour are just around the corner. The guiding industry is facing increasing demands and the Innoguide project partners want to tackle these issues and offer support.
Our online platform provides teaching materials for guides and guide trainers on how to deal with interculturality in the world of guiding, on how to develop a sustainable guided tour and on how to make the best use of new media and create the greatest tour experience.
By organising different train-the-trainer workshops (both basic and advanced level) on interculturality, sustainability and experiential guiding for guides and guide trainers. This allows for a thorough understanding of these topics and the ability to use it in your own work context.
By developing supporting tools for guide organisations, giving them tips and tricks to take their guide organisation to the next level. But, as with all projects, our goals are still work in progress. Many things have been developed, but we can still self-improve. And we can most definitely use your help!
